Temporary changes to a public area that make it more safe, enjoyable, liveable or easier to walk or bike in. Examples include parklets (seating or bike parking in a car parking space), temporary play areas, and temporary repair/air stations on bike paths. Because they aren't permanent, tactical urbanism installations can be a great way to test a new idea before spending money on making a more permanent change.
