Simon Fraser University is offering a Continuing Studies course at their Vancouver campus about community planning over three evening sessions on three Thursdays in November.
The course will cover key theories and issues of urban planning, with an emphasis on initiatives in the Metro Vancouver region.

The 2019 Climate Leaders Institute brings together elected officials across B.C. to learn about local initiatives to combat climate change and gain the skills needed to implement them.
The Institute is focusing on knowledge sharing, communication, and organizational planning to integrate a climate perspective in every aspect of municipal governance.

The Tamarack Institute is holding the Community Change Festival in Richmond, B.C. from September 30th to October 3rd 2019.
The event will bring community leaders and changemakers together to learn how to tackle complex issues in a meaningful way. The Tamarack Learning Centre focuses on integrating 5 Interconnected Practices into community change: collective impact, community engagement, collaborative leadership, community innovation, and evaluating impact.
The Union of BC Municipalities is hosting their annual convention from September 23rd to 27th at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
The tradeshow component will be held September 25-26 in conjunction with the convention. The theme of this year's convention is Resiliency & Change.
