The Regional Outcomes Monitoring Group, a multi-sectoral collaboration, is hosting a FREE 1 day interactive workshop that examines the relationships between planning, design, and public health. Housing Needs Reports are now mandatory for all local governments in British Columbia. These reports include recommendations for future housing development, meaning they have the potential to impact health and well-being. Using our newly-released Healthy Housing Action Guide as a starting point, this pre-recorded webinar outlines new government regulations, the UBCM funding program, and some of the ways local governments, health authorities and community partners can integrate health and equity into housing processes in their communities.
The Public Health Association of BC (PHABC) is hosting its annual Public Health Summer School on July 4th and 5th.
This year’s theme is Simplifying Complexity: Public Health Approaches and Practice in Complex Systems. The event will be held across three campuses: University of Victoria, University of BC, University of Northern BC, and University of BC’s Okanagan campus.
