BCIT
This course provides an introduction to how to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy use in the transportation sector. Students will be able to implement the transportation pyramid as a framework for community energy management. Students will be able to develop and implement policies that support active transportation, low carbon vehicles and transportation behavior change. Students will be able to explain how management of corporate fleets can support reductions in community-based transportation emissions.
Royal Roads University Professional and Continuing Studies
Join staff from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing for an overview of recent developments related to housing. Topics presented include updates on housing needs reports, secondary suites, renovictions and demovictions (tenant displacement), building insurance under the Strata Property Act and strata corporations’ response to Covid-19. While this will not be a Covid-19 focused session, the presentations will include consideration of impacts of the provincial state of emergency measures, where appropriate.
