Castlegar: From Silos to Systems workshop February 28

From Silos to Systems: Building Partnerships for Healthy Communities
Presented by Interior Health, in partnership with BC Healthy Communities Society and Healthy Families BC
Castlegar, BC | Friday, February 28, 2014 | 8:30 am to 4:00 pm | Lunch provided
We know that the root causes of our current health challenges are complex. And we know there is a strong relationship between people, place, and health.
Supporting healthy people by building healthy communities is not new, but there is a growing recognition that health is everyone’s business, and that innovative solutions require collaboration across multiple sectors. Fostering innovative approaches to complex challenges may require new ways of thinking, working, and acting together across multiple sectors in order to move beyond siloed approaches. Local governments, in partnership with other sectors in the community, are well-positioned to affect change for improved health and well-being for all.
